Hey, no game, no worries.  A quick round up of recent events for any Elgin City fans, perhaps I should've ideally planned last weeks holiday around this (free) weekend.  Thanks to William for stepping in to help out this week.

They come from near Lochgelly etc, etc... and now the Cowden Family head north to Borough Briggs, with Elgin City looking for perhaps their best start to a league campaign since...err... umm... help me out here... also looking back at the Albion Rovers win and how we now appear to have a bit more strength throughout the squad.

Well - what's to say! - we can now focus on making progress in League 2 after our first three points of the season.  After Edinburgh at home, let's see how we fare at Cliftonhill.

Well as one BBC fella said this week, it's the start of the season "proper" - but he was referring to the return of the English Premier League - but to hell with that - LEAGUE TWO FOOTBALL IS BACK AT BOROUGH BRIGGS!

The battle-scarred Elgin City squad haul themselves into the League Two campaign proper following the Dundee United match.  This weekend it's a trip to Galabank for Annan away.  Also, the ones to watch in this seasons domestic campaign are Cowdenbeath and Albion Rovers (apparently!?!?)

We finally reach the conclusion of the League Cup campaign, and barring any MASSIVE points penalties for all other sides in Group A, it's safe to say Elgin City aren't in with a chance of qualification.  Dundee United this weekend, but safe to say they're a club who don't have their problems to seek.  It's win-win.  Well, unless we get any more injuries...

We've some friendlies to look back at, we have part one of checking out the rest of the sides ahead of the new League Two campaign, and (GASP!) there's another cup competition which we've totally overlooked - but no surprise there as everyone else doesn't care about it.

The Black & Whites are back at pre-season, we now know the Irn Bru Cup First Round and also Elgin City have a game to look forward to - of sorts.
