This is a very special selection "Handpicked and commingled lovingly by Paul Hillery" as he put it, 7 years ago Paul did his first mix for the series, and he's come back with ' i'klektik pH 2o2'. It is to be expected that the majority of the records are unidentifiable by normal means, that means Shazam btw.

Weaved amongst it all there's music from Lily, Yumi Matsutoya, Mahdi & Tracy Kerr, Coste Apetrea, Margareth Menezes, Boncana Maiga, Le Club and lots of other household names we are all familiar with. Big Wink. Seriously, only Mr. Hillery would know these records could together and then actually make them work together, which he has beautifully.

Back before acid house changed the world, Jaye was already ploughing a unique path playing weird and wonky musics of all flavours at squat parties and industrial based do’s, she flung herself whole heartedly and without concern for her safety into the oncoming tsunami of what we would end up tagging as house, techno or the multitude of varying descriptive titles it has been given and has stayed true to ‘our thing’ ever since.

Dancing wildly at dirt box, the mutoid waste parties, the hacienda, ministry of sound, tonka, moist, sabresonic set her up for the ‘90s where, while Jaye was behind the counters of a number of soho record shops during the day and doing the ambient ‘creamy meat’ show as bish on the legendary chillin’ FM pirate radio, she was often found behind the decks at the legendary WANG parties, the back room at Golden in Stoke on Trent, her residency at London’s sadly defunct END with the ‘for your pleasure’ crew and numerous long gone all nighters and late into the night dark room parties. Getting her second wind at the start of the 00’s via the ‘softmachine’ parties she ran alongside George ‘black merlin’ and Kyle & Johnny from ‘land of light’ she’s been playing regularly across the country for numerous nights such as LOVE MUSCLE & COSMIC SLOP in Leeds, HOMO BLOC & KISS ME AGAIN in Manchester and further a field as a resident at the KALA festival as well as Field Maneuvers, Love International and dimensions in Croatia. She is also the resident at long running & fiercely loyally supported Bristol party PLU, alongside Ranks which has carved out a name for interesting left of centre guests and a distinctly gnarly music policy.

It's the two instrumental versions of Roxanne Shantes 'Sharp as a Knife' and the vocal from Persian 'Worries in the Dance' I'm just having a bit of fun... it's an Acid Track 117bpm, if you get a chance have a listen and if you want the file, I'll ping it over.

David Lynch's concept of the Unified Field is rooted in ancient Vedic science, which describes it as an unmanifest field from which all manifestation emerges. In essence, it's the idea that everything comes from nothing, or as Lynch puts it, "Nothing, No-Thing"

This is why I titled the track "No-Thing"

I chose the Heros track by chance and the lyric that now stands out is "Though nothing will keep us together"

"NO-THING WILL keep us together"

This is a slowed down Tech Track, the Vocals I grabbed and matched the bpm and played the two at the same time in synch and then messed about with the echo on the vocals all in real time. I rendered it.I put the track on both decks and played one in synch but slightly delayed... and messed around further with the echo... all recorded live in one take.
