Lessons from the MAP

Ecotherapy with Kimberly Beck

Listen Later

Ecotherapy is a combination of psychology and ecology. It focuses on the lived experience of those two streams of practice, rather than focusing on theory only. Kimberly Beck is a dedicated student and teacher of ecotherapy, walking her clients through ways that connect us both to place and one another.

She and Jamie have a fascinating conversation about the power of silence and reflection, the theory of "content, culture, and location" as the ways to create a therapeutic container, and the ways "we-consideration" of other-than-human beings can translate to healing in our own lives.

To learn more about the June 5-6 "Rewilding Your Work" ecotherapy training, and upcoming local herb walks and nature journaling classes, visit Kimberly's Website here.
*Please note: since this recording, the May "Rewilding Your Work" training has been cancelled.
