Daniel Diermeier is an internationally renowned political scientist, management scholar and visionary leader and has served as Vanderbilt University’s ninth chancellor since late 2019.  He has led major growth and innovation efforts, including expanding research funding, increasing financial aid, launching new campuses and programs, and strengthening Vanderbilt’s national and global reputation. Andrew Grauer is the Cofounder and CEO of Learneo, a platform of builder-driven productivity and learning businesses.

Ian Rowe is a senior fellow at the American Enterprise Institute, where he focuses on education and upward mobility, family formation, and adoption. Mr. Rowe is also the cofounder of Vertex Partnership Academies, a network of virtues-based International Baccalaureate high schools inaugurated in the Bronx in 2022; the chairman of the board of Spence-Chapin, a nonprofit adoption services organization; and the cofounder of the National Summer School Initiative. He concurrently serves as a senior visiting fellow at the Woodson Center and a writer for the 1776 Unites Campaign.

Mr. Rowe was CEO of Public Prep, a nonprofit network of public charter schools based in the South Bronx and Lower East Side of Manhattan, for a decade. Before joining Public Prep, he was deputy director of postsecondary success at the Bill & Melinda Gates Foundation, senior vice president of strategic partnerships and public affairs at MTV, director of strategy and performance measurement at the USA Freedom Corps office in the White House, and cofounder and president of Third Millennium Media. Mr. Rowe also joined Teach for America in its early days.

He has been widely published in the popular press, including in the New York Post, the Wall Street Journal, and the Washington Examiner, and is often interviewed on talk radio programs.

Following the publication of his book Agency: The Four Point Plan (F.R.E.E.) for All Children to Overcome the Victimhood Narrative and Discover Their Pathway to Power (Templeton Press, 2022), Mr. Rowe leads AEI’s FREE Initiative. The FREE Initiative cultivates a deeper understanding of how family, religion, education, and entrepreneurship weave together a moral fabric that shapes children. Those insights have been shared with leaders around the country who can reinvigorate the crucial institutions that help develop agency in young people.

Mr. Rowe has an MBA from Harvard Business School, where he was the first black editor-in-chief of the Harbus; a BS in computer science engineering from Cornell University; and a diploma in electrical engineering from Brooklyn Technical High School, one of New York City’s elite public schools, which specializes in science, technology, and mathematics.

Peter Bezanson holds a BA from St. John’s College and Ph.D. from the University of Iowa, his home state. Beginning his career in academia, Peter transitioned to the K-12 education sector, where his expertise in critical thinking and educational theory now drives his strategic leadership. Peter’s love of teaching math led him to want to lead other teachers who loved teaching math, which in turn led him to want to lead a school, and then, a network of schools. Peter has held numerous leadership roles within the organization, including CEO of BASIS Ed and CEO of BASIS Ed Texas, before becoming co-chairs of BASIS Educational Ventures in 2023. Hired by the network’s co-founders in 2014 during the network’s early expansion, Peter’s leadership has been pivotal in maintaining the schools’ hallmark academic rigor, and in amplifying that growth, particularly outside of BASIS’ home state of Arizona. His dedication to the intellectual curiosity and innovation inherent in the BASIS model has cultivated a thriving community of learners and educators at dozens of campuses nationwide.

Rajen Sheth is CEO and Founder of Kyron Learning, a public benefit company focused on giving all students equitable access to high quality one-on-one teaching using AI. Previously, Rajen was VP of Google Cloud AI and Industry Solution as part of a 17 year career at Google. He focused on building products that enable enterprises to transform themselves through AI, and building transformative products for Google Cloud’s key industries: healthcare, retail, financial services, media/entertainment, and manufacturing. 

Earlier on, Rajen led the development of Android and Chrome for business and education, including the Android for Enterprise products, the Chromebooks for Education product line, and Chromebooks and Chrome browser for enterprise . Rajen also helped create and lead product development for Google Apps for Enterprise and Education (now known as Google Workspace), used by over 5 million businesses and 200 million students.
