  • Making the Most of your College Experience | ft. Meghan Rigdon | EDCATS EDCAST EP6.

College is full of opportunities—but how do you know which ones to say yes to, when to make time for yourself, and how do you find the people and experiences that make K-State feel like home?

In this episode of the EDCATS EDCAST, we’re talking with Meghan Rigdon, a senior studying Elementary Education, about belonging, getting involved, making connections, and finding balance along the way.

As the Head Section Leader of the K-State Classy Cats and a member of Alpha Delta Pi, Meghan has embraced opportunities to lead, connect, and make the most of her college experience. She shares how she decides what is worth making time for, why she doesn't want to miss out on opportunities, and how getting involved has helped her find her people and create a sense of belonging at K-State.

But Meghan knows that saying yes to everything isn't always the answer. She talks about intentionally making space for herself to recharge while still staying open to the experiences and connections that make college meaningful.

From engaging with faculty and staff to working on campus, Meghan has found that some of the most valuable connections can happen outside the classroom—and those relationships can lead to opportunities that extend well beyond graduation.

Meghan's story is a reminder that belonging is built with one connection, one opportunity, and one yes at a time. It's about putting yourself out there, making time for what matters, knowing when to pause, and being open to whatever—and whoever—you might encounter along the way.
