Edge of Your Seat Podcast is going to be running once a week, broadcasting a new show every Sunday night or Monday morning.
Each show will consist of each of the pod's segments including Putting in the Work (local scores and accomplishments), Bring it Back (diving into an artist and their album), What the Pod is (new, chatting about other podcasts we listen to), Keep it Rollin (what's on TV or theatre), Out of the Valley (news, sports from outside the Illinois Valley), and Pay Respects (tribute to those who are no longer with us)
Also multiple guests from all over the Illinois Valley and the surrounding area.

The Hall-Putnam County football team has a new coach in Logan Larson. We had spoken to him four times by the time we entered Week 2. The excited coach hasn't let up and neither has his team. The no-quit mentality is in full-effect. Also, we lead in with a group of awesome kids at the Graves-Hume Public Library in Mendota.

The Illinois Valley Pistol Shrimp season has flown by as the Prospect League baseball team in Peru has one last regular season home game today, Sunday, July 28, before hitting the road for three games and the playoffs start Thursday, Aug. 1. Pistol Shrimp owner/manager John Jakiemiec and general manager June Keely (18:53) joined us before the season to talk about the team.

Maybe not forever, but the Jason Burkiewicz (1:22:13) era has ended as he resigned as the Annawan girls basketball coach after two state championships, a 55-game winning streak, and more accomplishments in 14 seasons. We spoke to him after the 2023-24 season, and we spoke with then-sophomore, now-junior Bella VanOpdorp (1:06:18) during the 2022-23 season.
