Jesus promises his disciples that after his death and resurrection, their sorrow will turn to joy! And Jesus says that no one will ever be able to take the joy of knowing Christ away from those who follow Him. This un-takable joy is anchored in Christ’s resurrection: no one can take our joy because no one can take Jesus from us, not even death.

Paul tells the Thessalonians that they can expect lawlessness in this world because Christ has not come yet. He will come soon, but until then Christians must not be deceived like those who stubbornly refuse the Word - they must stand firm in it.

The Helper helps us see our need for Jesus, and he helps us see the goodness of Jesus.

If you're with Jesus, he promises the world will hate you, but he will help you.

When you abide in the vine that is Jesus, the fruit that you bear is love.

Through this metaphor of the vine and its branches, Jesus shows us how we grow as Christians. He shows us what is his role, and what is ours.

What is the Passover and why is it important?

Jesus has given us his spirit to teach us, and his peace to ground us.

Obedience comes from love, and love comes from the Spirit.

We know God through Jesus, and others know Jesus through us.
