In which I delve into the cupboard in the hall, pull out a dusty bottle of nine and a half year old homebrew white port and sample it "live".

I'm feeling pretty sorry for myself today. Not enough food or too much coffee. Either way I've got a blazing headache, but I still manage to stumble through the Edinburgh Man archives to play some tracks from "on this day in history". Specifically, on this day in 2015. Some tracks played on, or related to those tracks played on podcast number 220.

Warning. I have consumed beer. And wine. Just two glasses of each. But to be honest that's probably double my limit nowadays. Getting old, eh?

It's the 15th Advent Calendar Podcast! We're well into the second half now. My goodness, we might actually pull this off. Right, I decided to delve into the Edinburgh Man archives for much of this episode. Specifically I looked back to find any other shows that occurred on the 15th of December. And I found one. Number 80 from back in 2011. When I was young, carefree, and Edinburgh Man Junior was only weeks away from appearing on the scene and throwing a spanner in the works.

Hmmm... The 14th Advent Podcast. And the second of three that I recorded in a single day. Unfortunately, I forgot to write this little description until after I'd recorded the subsequent show. So I'm not entirely sure what happened. It's all mostly a blur, to be honest. I'm sure it was great.

When I started doing these daily advent calendar podcasts I had a couple of days in hand. That's been whittled away now and I'm recording these on the day they are release. Right, we need to sort that. Today I'm going to record three podcasts! One for today and one for each of the next two days. Let's get this thing back on track.

Ow, ow, ow. Long term listeners may remember that I've had problems with my back in the past. Well today I spent 3 hours waiting on the most uncomfortable seat imaginable while new tyres were get fitted to the car. Basically, as I result I am broken. In pain. And a bit cranky for the 12th Advent Calendar show. Sorry.

Oh dear. I think these back-to-back podcasts are starting to take their toll... and we aren't quite halfway through yet. I've a blazing headache today, but at least there is some great music from Swearin', The Map Dept. and more.

An unplanned day at home. With Edinburgh Man Junior vomiting yesterday he's not allowed back to school for 48 hours. So that means he and I are cooped up in the house today. Perfect opportunity for him to get in some video gaming and for me to knock out today's advent calendar podcast!

Apologies for the delay with today's show. I bet you thought I'd flaked out on you. Well, almost but not quite. Unfortunately we were woken early this morning by the sound of a sick child, and the day was thrown into disarray somewhat. So I've just got around to recording the show now... at 7.30 in the evening. So basically, I'm wiped. As you'll hear.
