Welcome to the first episode of the EdTech Classroom podcast. Today I share my Summer 2020 Book List for Teachers.I created this book list a few weeks ago to help teachers stay inspired and motivated this summer. This list was curated with distance learning and coronavirus in mind. Recent events, including the murder of George Floyd, have reminded us of the importance to educate ourselves around racism in the U.S. For this reason, I’d like to specifically highlight book number six on my list, The New Jim Crow: Mass Incarceration in the Age of Colorblindedness by Michelle Alexander.

Innovative teaching is about educating the future leaders of tomorrow. I hope that all of the books on this list will inspire you to make meaningful changes to your teaching practice.
