You might be looking at the title and be wondering..... what do these 3 artists have in common? Well despite two of them being English, they are also all artists that we saw perform this week! Previously we did a music experiment where we went to a concert a week for a full month! Now, back by popular demand, we are recreating the experiment but with a few twists. We crammed it all into one music packed week. That's right we did 3 whole concerts within 7 days, and in this episode we are breaking down them all! Aside from recapping the 3 concerts, we will also be discussing the experience of attending so many concerts in such a short amount of time and whether we think you should try this too!

The Beatles are probably the most famous band to ever exist. With over 600 million sales, they are the best selling musicians of all time. Even though they were only together for roughly a decade, they managed to shape the music tastes of an entire generation. Their breakup in the 70's crushed music lovers, but now in 2023, 50 years later, we have proof that Beatlemania never died.

With the help of modern technology, The Beatles have released a brand new song that features the musical talents of all 4 original Beatles members. Not recreations, but actual singing and playing. How did they seemingly manage to bring John and George back from the dead? We'll tell you all about it, and more on this week's episode.

By popular request we are back with another artist spotlight, and it’s going to be on one of the hottest rising supergroups at the moment….. Boygenius!

For those that don’t know, Boygenius is an Indie Supergroup consisting of famous soloists, Phoebe Bridgers, Julien Baker, and Lucy Dacus. With only one full length album released, they have already made a huge impact on the charts with it climbing all the way to number 4. The tight bond the group shares, combined with their vulnerable and emotional songs have made them an instant classic. We’ll touch on their solo careers, how they came to form Boygenius, and everything you might want to know about them. By the end of this episode, you’ll be as big of a Boygenius fan as we are!

As we close out National Hispanic Heritage Month 2023 in the U.S. Educate Your Earbuds is doing its first ever Hispanic Music Special! This week we’ll cover a brief history of Latin and Hispanic Music, its introduction to international audiences, and how it took over the world. We cover the major artists from every generation that made Hispanic music the phenomenon it is today. If you’ve been living under a rock you can catch up on some of the major hits! Some people call it the Lollapalooza  of the South. Some people say it’s the best music festival in the U.S...and for others, it was the very first music festival that they attended. What are we talking about? Austin City Limits of course!

This music festival takes place in the heart of Texas each year at the beautiful Zilker park. Since it’s inception it has been a host of major artists from all genres of music from rock and indie, to country and hip hop. With an annual attendance of almost 500,000 people, ACL has truly become a Mecca of live music, and this week we are telling you all about our experiences at this awesome fest and why we love it so much. By the end, we hope this fest will definitely be added to your music bucket list if it isn’t already!

This week the Educate Your Earbuds team wants to touch on a serious topic, and one that is very relevant in today’s live music scene. The accidental deaths of concertgoers from drug overdoses, and how you as a bystander may be able to step in and save a life in the case of an emergency.

The lifesaving drug Naloxone has recently been approved for over the counter use in the United States. It has very low risk of side effects and it’s so easy to administer that even an untrained person could use it to save someone’s life. No matter your stance on drug use we think this is a tool that every live music attendee should be aware is out there, because it truly could be the difference between life and death.

Music is universally loved across the world. People from all countries and cultures listen to different forms and genres of music. Focusing on getting the perfect video to post on TikTok. Or just generally being overly concerned with how you’d show off the concert on social media. We tackle why we think this problem may be getting worse. Is it all Gen Z’s fault? Is social media to blame? And what does big business have to do with it?
