►Odus Evbagharu is the chair of the Harris County Democratic Party in Houston, Texas, the third largest county in the U.S. Evbagharu also serves as Chief of Staff for Texas State Representative Jon Rosenthal. He is the youngest and the first Black chair of the Harris County Democratic Party (HCDP). Evbagharu serves on the board of directors for the Texas Freedom Network, on the steering committee for Planned Parenthood Young Leaders, and was formerly a board member of the New Leaders Council.

►Junior Ezeonu is a Grand Prairie City Council Member representing the entire city of Grand Prairie as an at-large member. Junior was elected to the city council in June of 2021 in a run-off election after defeating an incumbent who had served for 12 years. Mr. Ezeonu is the first African-American council member to represent the city of Grand Prairie since the early 1990s, and he is also the youngest elected council member in Grand Prairie history. Councilman Ezeonu is of Nigerian descent and was born in Onitsha, Nigeria and moved to the state of Texas at the age of 2 years old. He is a graduate of UT Arlington and has a Bachelors of Arts in Political Science. Junior integrates the knowledge and understanding from his educational background to provide the City of Grand Prairie with high level service to improve the quality of life for all residents of the city. During college, Junior served as a substitute teacher/tutor and educated students throughout the Dallas-Fort Worth Area. He has worked in the Oak Cliff, Highland Hills and Pleasant Grove communities of Dallas as well as Fort Worth, Carrollton and Mansfield. His passion to improve lives and inspire others led to him serving as a substitute teacher and he has carried that same passion to his service as a council member for the City of Grand Prairie.

►With more than a decade of experience, Shekira C. Dennis has a proven track record of success as a political strategist and public engagement expert. As the managing partner of Next Wave Strategic Consulting Group, she provides valuable insight for various national, statewide and local political and issue-based campaigns. She lend her talents in conducting demographic research, fundraising and strategic communications to other political campaigns and government leaders. She served as an organizing fellow on the Obama for President campaign in Charlotte, North Carolina, and is a proud alumna of the White House Internship Program, where she worked in the Office of Presidential Personnel in the Obama Administration. She is is a graduate of the Houston Black Leadership Institute (HBLI), and the prestigious Women’s Campaign School at Yale. She holds a Bachelor of Arts degree in political science and journalism from the Barbara Jordan-Mickey Leland School of Public Affairs at Texas Southern University where she served as the 64th President of the Student Government Association.

►The Honorable Tiffany D. Thomas is the Chair of the Housing and Community Affairs Committee which oversees Solid Waste Management, Housing and Community Development, Homeless Initiatives, and Veteran’s Affairs. She is also a member of the following committees: Budget & Fiscal Affairs, Ethics, Elections and Council Government, Regulations & Neighborhood Affairs, and Public Safety & Homeland Security.
After completing her degree at Sam Houston State University she moved back home to District F. She served her neighbors in the District and the greater Houston area in a variety of ways over the years through volunteering and leading organizations that allowed her to sharpen her knowledge on issues that mattered such as housing, public safety, workforce development, transportation, and education. In 2013, she tested her capacity to lead and ran for Alief ISD Trustee, position 7 and won, serving for four years with the best interests of the taxpayer, student, parent and business in mind. In addition to her service on Council, she is a tenured development officer and is also the Program Coordinator and Assistant Professor of Community Development at Prairie View A&M University.

►Ray B. Shackelford is a native Houstonian & community leader who strives to make a difference in the lives of others. He received his B.A. in Business Administration - Finance from Morehouse College and his M.B.A. from the C.T. Bauer College of Business at University of Houston. Ray has been a member of the National Urban League Young Professionals for more than eleven years and now serves as it's 10th National President. In his professional endeavors he has worked in education, non-profit, outside sales, and now works in operations for Southwest Airlines in addition to starting his own consulting firm in 2019. Ray wears a lot of hats, but none is more important to him than the hat of “father.” He is the proud father of a ten-year-old daughter, Jordan.

►Christian is a civil litigation attorney who was recently recognized as a 2019 Texas Rising Star by Super Lawyers. Christian has called Houston home since early childhood, and he attended K-12 in the Klein and Alief Independent School Districts. He currently resides in Houston with his wife Kaitlyn and their rescue dogs, Howie and Kennedy.

►Teneshia Hudspeth is a Houston-based Administrator to the third largest county in the nation, where she currently serves as Chief Deputy of the Harris County Clerk’s Office. She is the first African American woman to serve in this role. Teneshia supervises the Administrators of all departments and locations of Commissioners Court, Elections, County Civil Courts, Probate Courts, Personal Records, Real Property, Information/Records Archives, and Annex Offices in operational planning, human resources, financial, advocacy, community relations and risk management.
