Born in Egypt, grew up in Brooklyn, and is now an internationally recognised stand up comedian. He’s featured on Seth Rogen’s Hilarity for Charity also on the BBC and SkyTV. In the U.S. on Fox, HULU, Netflix, Amazon & truTV.
In 2021 he joined the writing staff of the soon to be released animated series “Tantrum Jesus” as Writer/Producer. He’s got an album out on Spotify, iTunes and all the rest called ‘Brown Sheep’ which you should definitely check out, and a podcast called ‘They tried to bury us’, a weekly pod himself and his mum Kity (great name!)
Filled with beautiful stories of love, courage and hope it takes to leave everything you know behind, just for the opportunity to pursue happiness. On top of all that - he's just performed at the Hammersmith Apollo supporting Iliza Shlesinger on her world tour!
This week we're speaking to Pallika Sood.
Pallika, born and raised in Liverpool, currently living and working in London.
At the time of the record, our conversation was focused around her fashion brand, how it came to be as well as her background in poetry.
Since then, Pallika has recently changed career and is now a full-time writer. Her writing passion began with poetry in her early teens. During the pandemic, she hosted creative writing workshops under her poetry name, Words By P.
Odin will also be sharing his hot tips on how to give people boundaries.
This week Jamie and Odin will be speaking to...Simon Lewis.
Simon is a performance studies teacher at a secondary school in Harrow.
He studied cello and jazz piano at the very prestigious Guildhall School of Music and Drama. He came into education later on, initially as a teaching assistant then went back to train as a SEN music and drama teacher.
Now he’s bringing his passion for music into the classroom; creating full scale live performances from the students autobiographical work.
It’s impossible not describe what he does without saying:
‘he’s like jack black in school of rock’,
without further ado, please enjoy, Simon Lewis.
A new podcast from comedian, teaching assistant and semi reluctant cat dad, Jamie Oliphant.
