Episode 2 will open up the conversation about LGBTQIA+ and Education. With two educators as cohost we discuss queer teachers in the school system. The disadvantages and adversities gay teachers face and the REAL struggles and victories they gained on the journey in becoming and being authentic in the classroom. Episode 2 sheds light to the myths of queer educators and we openly discuss parent concerns about their children having gay teachers. From curriculum, to being closeted to serving as mentors to the children we teach this episode is sure to strike up conversation and is meant to provide resources to both teachers, administrators and parents who want to be part of ensuring we create an inclusive society that benefits everyone.
