  • Sheri Few: School Bells, Warning Bells

Mary welcomes back Sheri Few, Founder and President of United States Parents Involved in Education (USPIE), whose mission is to end the U.S. Department of Education and all federal education mandates. USPIE has established 20 state chapters and is growing rapidly amid the national outcry from parents who want to regain control of their children’s education. Today we talk about how to not sleepwalk through the school year, put it in park and just go through the motions. Getting parents engaged and alert, putting their child’s education back into their own hands is a worthy goal. As the years blend together, the woke crowd never rests in their goal to indoctrinate children into a destructive and many times evil agenda. How can parents take back public education, on the local level? Is it redeemable at all? Who are the movers and shakers and those who decide what the kids will learn? An important conversation with a true expert on the public schools of today.

Lundgren shares his journey from studying construction to earning a Ph.D. in theology, emphasizing that education isn’t just about career paths but personal growth and faith formation. They challenge the fear of “wasting time” in college, encouraging students to focus on learning, responsibility, and trusting God’s guidance. Whether choosing a Christian or secular school, they stress the importance of knowing why you believe what you believe and surrounding yourself with mentors who will strengthen your faith.

  • Replay – Judge Phil Ginn: The Importance of Apologetics; The Pestiferous Quagmire; Activist Judges

Original airdate: 6/5/25 Mary welcomes new guest Judge Phil Ginn of Southern Evangelical Seminary to discuss the critical need for apologetics – understanding it, and using what we learn. It can be like a foreign language, if you don’t use it you just might lose it. Hiding God’s Word in our hearts is critical to the articulation of biblical apologetics. We will talk about their upcoming National Apologetics Conference. Then we look at the quagmire parents have found themselves in when trying to assert their rights and opt out of perverted DEI type indoctrination. The public schools don’t want to deal with those messes, because hey, that means their students aren’t learning to be oh so tolerant of diversity and inclusion. Well, that’s on them, the schools – and parents are fighting back. Finally, we look at our government and why Trump has to deal with the O’Biden judiciary mess via activist judges. How did we get to the point that our duly elected President has his agenda hijacked at every turn? An enlightening hour with the president of SES, a former judge and very sharp regarding the Christian worldview.

  • Replay – Elizabeth Urbanowicz: Firm Foundations for Life

Original airdate 8/12/25: Mary welcomes new guest Elizabeth Urbanowicz, a follower of Jesus Christ who is passionate about equipping kids to understand the truth of the Christian worldview. Elizabeth began her professional career as an elementary teacher in a Christian school. Several years into her teaching experience, she realized that despite being raised in Christian homes, attending a Christian school, and being active in church, her students thought more like the culture than like Christ. She began searching for curricular materials that would equip her students to think critically, helping them discover that Christianity is the worldview that lines up with reality. After not finding any materials that met this need, she began creating a curriculum for her students. Today we look at how to move our kids forward, and pursue excellence in everything, at a time when the culture keeps going backwards everywhere we look. Counteracting a worldly worldview is a full time job. How can families and churches proactively keep their youth engaged with truth? What will it take, consistently and purposefully? A full hour with Elizabeth as we seek to begin to guard our hearts with all diligence and raise children to be confident, passionate lovers of truth. • Mike Jewell: Building Bridges – How Churches Can Transform Foster Care

    Mike Jewell

Today’s FRESH NEW Stand Up for the Truth Podcasts features host Dave Wager with guest Mike Jewell, founder of Family Connect Wisconsin, applying James 1:27 to real families in crisis. Mike explains how churches can become the point of care for vulnerable kids by meeting vetted needs from local caseworkers, then building relationships that lead to stability and discipleship. The tool is simple: a request is posted, a donor funds it, a church delivers it, and a connection begins. Dave underscores that kids don’t just need lectures, they need living examples of Christlike love.

Listeners hear stories of beds delivered, meals shared, and single moms supported, along with early impact numbers and a vision to expand county by county. The invite is clear: pray, give, and form a small church response team so families see healthy believers up close. Pure religion visits the vulnerable and keeps unstained from the world. When the church shows up, kids are protected, parents are strengthened, and communities see the gospel in action.

  • Replay – Mark and Amber Archer: Fearlessly Exposing the Gender Agenda

Original airdate: 9/17/24: Mary Danielsen catches up with Mark and Amber Archer, a husband and wife filmmaking team and founders of the filmmaking ministry, Fearless Features. With over 30 years of combined production experience they are on a mission to share hope in Christ around the world through feature films, documentaries, podcasting, books and more. Today’s topic is “Title IX”, the name of their recent documentary, their fourth title. A spinoff of a previous film, “Dysphoria”, it is a deeper look into the history of that civil rights legislation which was primarily designed to protect women in the education and sports systems to be free from discrimination. However, with Biden’s 2024 updates to the law, the rights of gay and transgender have taken precedence. How are these changes going to affect our nation? With 26 red states bringing lawsuits before the August deadline, what is the latest on this unnecessary and likely illegal action? All that and more with the Archers.

  • Shawn Weber: Training Up a Child in a Screen Age

    Shawn Weber

Today’s FRESH NEW PODCAST: Dave Wager talks with sixth-grade math teacher and former youth pastor Shawn Weber about schooling, home life, and a child’s heart. Using Proverbs 22:6 as the anchor, they dig into respect in the classroom, impulsivity driven by screens, and how parents can model leadership at home. Shawn explains why he serves in public schools, how Christian teachers quietly witness by the way they live, and how students can respectfully ask faith-forward questions. Dave urges parents to pray for teachers, speak with grace, and partner with the school instead of swiping people the way we swipe apps.

Practical helps fill the hour. Ask better questions after school, not “What did you do?” but “Show me what you’re working on.” Let kids teach you what they learned, set short, consistent homework routines, and use bedtime review to lock in memory. Keep AI in its place. Learning is the struggle that forms character, not outsourcing the answer. Aim for feedback, not judgment, when you look at grades. Above all, remember the path is about loving God, walking with Him, and helping your child grow in wisdom as you walk it together.

  • Dr. Corey Miller: Ideas Have Consequences, Bad Ideas Have Victims

Mary welcomes new guest Dr. Corey Miller of Ratio Christi ministry. Corey Miller grew up in Utah as a 7th generation Mormon. He came to Christ and later became a pastor, philosophy professor, campus minister, and now serves as the president and CEO of Ratio Christi. He has authored or edited 5 books and holds 3 masters degrees and a PhD from the University of Aberdeen, Scotland. His focus is on the intersection of faith, reason, and culture. His new book, “The Progressive Miseducation of America: Confronting the Cultural Revolution from the Classroom to Your Community” is set to release October 14. Today we discuss higher education’s devolution into an echo chamber for leftist ideologies. Far from an actual education, today’s ultra-liberal universities are really the gatekeepers for revolutionary ideas. We saw for ourselves how the curtain was pulled back to reveal rabid antisemitism from coast to coast. Is there any way to reclaim our once great educational institutions? A fascinating hour with Dr. Miller.

  • Juan Valdes: The Foundations and Fundamentals of Critical Thinking

Mary welcomes back Juan Valdes of Reasons for Hope to discuss the hows and whys of critical thinking in a post-truth world. Humans bring many biases, indoctrinations and emotions to so many issues of the day, and seem content to take most things at face value instead of thinking things through in context. Words have meaning, and even before we speak, our thoughts have already given birth to a multitude of possible words – and actions. No believer can ever hope to be an effective apologist without understanding the importance of thinking things through – with the goal of giving an answer to all who ask about our hope. Social media, in fact, is probably the main contributor to the destruction of meaningful discourse in the public square. We talk about how critical thinking is indispensable in our lives at any age. Juan is the senior pastor of a Spanish-speaking congregation in Florida and has worked at a Christian school as both a chaplain and a teacher for more than 20 years. His educational background includes graduate work at Trinity Evangelical Divinity School, and master’s degrees from Liberty Baptist Theological Seminary and Logos Graduate School. He has a Doctor of Ministry in Apologetics from Southern Evangelical Seminary. As an educated and experienced teacher of apologetics, Juan has taught Bible and Introduction to Philosophy at the High School level, and Theology, Bible, and Apologetics at the seminary level, in both English and Spanish.
