Education Bros

June is always supposed to be the best time of year for teachers BUT it actually comes with a lot of politics. We chat about the end of the year GOOD, BAD and BULLSHIT!

Education Chris asked some juicy questions this week! Do you gossip? Do you date other teachers at your school? Give a listen to find out what we said!

We discuss the importance of the many different types of relationships that happen within a school. Teacher to student. Student to student. Teacher to teacher. And yes, the Bros to our listeners. We think you will love this episode and we would appreciate some feedback and a review wherever you listen to your podcast!

What do you do if a parent confronts you? Should I switch schools if I don't like the staff I work with? You got questions... we got answers!

As June rolls around, the Education Bros reflect on the end of the year and summer vacation. What do teachers do in summer? What are some hilarious student pranks we have seen over the years? Thanks for listening and see you all in season 3!

Would you rather a long commute to an ideal school, or a short commute to an average school? This week, the Education Bros debate these type of questions, from a teacher's perspective as always.

Most teachers start out as a substitute teacher... We know how it all felt as students when we saw a substitute teacher when we walked into a class (high five!). But what is it like as a teacher?  We also had to get a substitute for Education Bro Joe who might be onto bigger and better things.

In today's education, it is very hard to fail students.  Should we as teachers need to justify why a student fails? Should students fail more? We give our insights and some funny stories of students failing (but still passing) classes.

Coaching is an awesome opportunity for teachers to not only get to know students better but also to teach them some invaluable life skills.  In this week's episode we chat about why we love coaching and some of our best coaching stories... we definitely will need a part 2!!!

What steam is right for you as a student? What stream is right for your child if you are a parent? Academic? Essential? University? College? Advanced? Workplace?

THERE IS A LOT to unpack there.  Give a listen to find out what the Education Bros recommend!
