Dr. Phitsamay Uy is an Associate Professor of Leadership in Schooling and the Graduate Coordinator for Ed.D Programs. She is also the Co-director of the Center for Asian American Studies at the University of Massachusetts Lowell. She received her doctorate of education from Harvard University Graduate School of Education. Dr. Uy is a Lao American K-21 educator, a community advocate, and an equity trainer. Her research focuses on the academic achievement of immigrant and refugee students, with a particular interest in Southeast Asian American students. She is also interested in family and community engagement of immigrant and refugee populations. I’m really excited to have you on the podcast.
