Effing Weird Museums

Join us in Washington, D.C., as we tour the office where Clara Barton and her colleagues helped discover the fates of thousands of Civil War soldiers. After the office closed, the building's significance was lost in time until a contractor noticed an envelope poking through a ceiling more than 100 years later.

We take a walk in the woods to visit the Appalachian Trail Museum in Pennsylvania's Pine Grove Furnace State Park. Join us as we hear Grandma Gatewood's legendary story, learn what to do if you run into a bear, and "hike" the entire AT.

We visit the moo-tiful people at a dairy heritage museum in Boyds, Maryland, just outside Washington, D.C. At the King Barn Dairy Mooseum, kids "milk" a cow, we learn about the hottest bull in the bovine world and more.

Like deer? How about deer, chainsaws and antique farming equipment? We explore them all -- and get up close and personal with Bambi's cousins -- at the Michigan Whitetail Hall of Fame Museum.

If you've ever wanted to see a 10-pound kidney stone or learn what a "prostate punch" is, urine luck! We're visiting the William P. Didusch Center for Urologic History in Maryland.

We visit the Barbour County Historical Museum in Philippi, West Virginia. The big draw? 1880s-era mummies from a local asylum.

We visit the Cold War Museum in Warrenton, Virginia, where we encounter a Soviet missile, get the truth behind flying saucers and hear about the man who saved the world.

Welcome to Effing Weird Museums, the show where we find little-known museums with the most oddly specific or unusual collections and take you inside.
