On September 27th, FC holds their annual member meeting. Perfect time, to sit down with Ho-Yeon Kim, the chairman of the Mitgliederrat.

This interview was recorded in 2022 but I wanted to wait until the next member meeting to release this episode. Some of the references might be a bit dated.

I had the chance to talk to a real FC Köln legend: ALLY GUDORF of 1. FC Köln Frauen. We look back on their soccer roots, playing for FC for over a decade, developing as a player and Mensch, their time in the US, injuries, playing for the national team, the current season of FC Köln, and their upcoming time with SC Freiburg Frauen! 11:11AM on November 11th - It is the start of the Karneval Season in Köln for the 200th time!! Time to take a look at where the Karneval tradition came from, how it developed and what it is today. 

Many fans from the US are going to Cologne to celebrate Karneval from February 16-22nd, see some soccer games by FC's men and women teams, drink Kölsch, and do excursions around the beautiful city of Köln.

Before leaving Cologne in mid August (after the second gameday of the Bundesliga), I had the chance to meet up with legendary commentator Phil Bonney at the Kuhle in the Cologne Südstadt. We had an almost soccer match long chat about local soccer, how a nativity play got him into commentating (eventually), his background in theatre, moving to Cologne, changes in German soccer, his love for Cologne and of course: SOCCER PASSION.
