While the question will give many progressives some comic relief, it is important to get the message the reporter is making out in the ethos.

A disproportionate percentage of people of color (POC), specifically blacks, are hesitant to take the COVID vaccine. Many attribute this to their lack of faith in the health care system. To put it bluntly, that reason makes absolutely no sense.

To be clear, as a black man, Latino, and Caribbean man, I know that our health care system is racist. I have a sister who is a doctor and a daughter in medical school. I have heard enough to understand that racism in health care is systemic in all aspects of life in America. I lived it. It affected me firsthand, so much so that I spend an inordinate amount of my time taking care of myself instead of using the health care system, even as I have been lucky to have always been fully insured.

Shortly after the jobs report, President Biden held a press briefing where he gave a well-designed economic message for the country.

President Biden’s speech was constructed just as it should. First of all, the president acknowledged that the jobs report, while not as strong as expected, is a building block of what has occurred before and what is to come. The average job creation is over 700K per month under his administration.

The data is out. Chris Hayes referenced an article written by Christopher Ingraham that points out that GOP Covid policy is deadly to their voters.

It should be no surprise Trump-supporting science-denying areas of this country would show more deaths than anywhere else. We spoke about it ad nauseam. But just maybe showing the real data of an inordinate number of dead Republicans will change the minds of more Republicans.

This is the second time I have seen this Leslie Stahl piece about Intel on the 60-Minutes program. Stahl interviewed Pat Gelsinger, the CEO of Intel. Leslie asked all the right questions and provided the necessary context. Here are some highlights that became evident from the discourse.

We thought the Afghanistan trip by Congressmen Seth Moulton (D-MA) & Peter Meijer (R-MI) was selfish. Their objective view on the exit makes the trip well worth it.

Many believed the trip by the two Congressmen from the different Democratic and Republic parties was ill-advised. Given the misinformation about the August 31st exit from Afghanistan, their trip turned out to be very important. Why? They provided an objective assertion of the necessity of a quick exit instead of a prolonged quest to evacuate every person using our military.

This is hard to believe. Just watch, listen, and read and tell me what you think.

The are so many subtexts to this era of American history.  A good portion of them are indeed racial in nature.  The truth is, Joe Rogan wannabes with their backwards ballcap and overly tight T-shirts are cowardly man-children who have the emotional IQ of a toddler.  But also, we see a brazenness in this case, a sheer disrespect for authority or boundaries, and a sense of self-importance.  This sort of behavior reflects poorly upon us in the rest of the world, although I can’t imagine they look at us as the nation of FDR anymore at any rate.

It is easy for us to get into wars and difficult to get out because we have media that entertain warmongers that depend on American's geographical and sociopolitical ignorance.

As I watched the Sunday morning shows today, I could not help but attempt to pull out the hairs I no longer have on my head. You see, it was hard to believe that a few hours before a local natural disaster, we were making Afghanistan the top story.
