EGGS! The Podcast

In the fourth installment of the EGGS show - Int'l Edition, we drill deep on the subject of language learning. Ryan is in the middle of a five week intensive language program in Spain and Mike to has a lot of experience on the subject from a past life. With that in mind it seemed like a good time to explore the topic and discuss methods and practices that can help you on your way to becoming a polyglot. We experienced a few technical difficulties in the production of this show as Mike was recording from a campsite in the middle of nowhere. Hopefully the hiccups aren't too distracting but please bear with us a bit. EGGS is a podcast about all things creative, regardless of what that means to you. From the creativity involved in launching a business, building brand, crafting an entertainment career or whatever, we talk about the process of growing your EGG from start to finish. ---- The Links: Duolingo: http://www.duolingo.com Babbel: https://www.babbel.com ---- The Eggs Podcast Spotify playlist http://bit.ly/eggstunes ---- The Plugs: Ryan R2 SLC/BCN r2mg.com @r2mg on twitter @r2mediagroup on instagram Mike DJ Ontic shows and info djontic.com @djontic on twitter The Show eggscast.com @eggshow on twitter and instagram On iTunes: https://itun.es/i6dX3pC On Stitcher: http://bit.ly/eggs\_on\_stitcher

In this third of five-ish international editions of the show we open with a lengthy discussion about all the many things happening this week both in Spain and the USA. The conversation gets into some great recommendations for online file management and storage, discussion of some great new tech, and maybe, just maybe, a little mindless banter. Afterwords we get into the subject of organization in all facets of our life and how little incremental changes can produce big results. Our second international show opens on a brief recap of whats been happening the last week in Barcelona and Seattle. Ryan has been attending a language academy and Mike… Well Mike is screwing around with friends. DJing a little too I guess. So maybe its work related. You be the judge. Finally we transition into a spirited discussion about the ever elusive work-life balance. I don't know that we found it but we are trying to pin it down. Welcome to the first of 5 episodes of the EGGS podcast - International Edition! Ryan is broadcasting from the beaches of sunny Barcelona, Spain while Mike is sitting bummed out on the sadder, rainier beaches of Seattle, WA (nothing but love for ya Seattle, haha!). In this episode we cover the joys of international travel and put a bow on the larger discussion that we began last week about self-promotion, networking, the importance of working for free and the benefits of public service—that is before Mike so rudely zigged when he should have zagged. This episode began life as a discussion of self-promotion but rapidly digressed into a bit of self-help. After covering a number of topics related to promoting ones self, ones business or ones product Mike took a turn and got into some tales of business fails and recoveries that had long been left to the anoles of the past.
