Join me for the Season Four finale, Episode 56 of the Eight Billion podcast, Kathy Kaye Retardo a Filipino-American and a nursing professor at CSULB. She is the host of The Global Nurse podcast and the Executive Director of The One Earth Foundation.
We sit down in this seasons final episode as she shares her new journey as a podcast host and the stories she shares of Filipino nurses working abroad. The Philippines largest export is it's people as many of them leave their country to work overseas to support their families.
But there is one subject we brought to the fore in this episode and it was to raise awareness in the growing issues of mental health issues in Asian countries, most especially the Philippines. As the world undergoes major changes, we commend the younger woke Gen Z and Millennials for taking a stand and breaking generational and cultural stigmas of behaviors that have been programmed and was once acceptable.
Regardless of our nationality and race, we must understand that this happens all around the world and in order for us to move into unity consciousness, we must support each other in this process in healing.
Thank you for joining me in Season 4 of Eight Billion, another incredible season in the books. May you always find the courage, use your voice and create change through love and compassion.
