This week on the Eight One Sixty we're joined by Kristie Stremel for an interview and a live acoustic set, including an amazing song she wrote in response to the Orlando shootings. Kristie Stremel has been a music maker in and around KC since the 90’s, with Frogpond, other band ventures and also as a solo artist. She recently released a read-along book for her song, "Love Makes A Family," written for her son to explain the importance of family and to help celebrate the diversity in families today. She plays Boulevardia on Saturday night, June 18 at 7:15PM.
We'll also hear music from a few other bands playing Boulevardia: Making Movies, Eems, Duncan Hill and Mariachi El Bronx. The fest features 40+ bands, on 3 stages over 3 days, June 17-19. More info available here:www.boulevardia.com.
