Eight One Sixty

It's that time of year again, Kansas City loves the Plaza Art Fair for many reasons, not the least of which is the live local music! Chris unveils the music line-up for the 84th Annual Plaza Art Fair on this episode of the Eight One Sixty.

Britt Adair (of The Bad Ideas) joins us this show to talk Summer Kamp Fest II, plus we'll hear more music, new and not so new, from bands with upcoming Kansas City dates.

For our 30th episode of the Eight One Sixty we play music from the 6th Annual Phoenix Fest and other upcoming shows. Also, it's the first time we have live keys in our on-air studio as The MGDs Damon Parker joins us for a performance and LIGHTNING FAST round of 'Seven Questions'.

It's a special night on the Eight One Sixty as we are joined by the entire staff of KC Concerts, who Chris has allowed to curate the show playlist (not because he just got back from Eaux Claires and didn't have time to build the show, but because he loves and respects their music choices...). Seriously, we love this organization and what they are doing for Kansas City, much love KC Concerts (@kcconcerts)!!!

On this episode we are joined by Live KC's Erik Wullschleger to talk fun, food, music and a chance to win a million dollars at Fiery Stick Open 2.0.  Then we are joined by JCCC students Mary Raab and Mpho Kekana to hear about Light the Night, an earthquake relief fundraiser featuring local bands, Captiva, Gekko and Tall Tales.

This week on the Eight One Sixty we'll chat with Brenton Cook, founder of Haymaker Records, play music from bands playing his Summer Showcase and more!

Can you believe it's already been over six months since the start of the Eight One Sixty!? This episode features some of the #bestofsofar this year from bands in the 'Eight One Six' and surrounding areas.

More music from the 'Eight One Six' and surrounding areas as we feature bands playing Lawrence Field Day Fest and talk to fest organizer Hank Wiedel.

On this episode of the Eight One Sixty we are joined by Boulevard Brewing Company's Creative Director, Brent Anderson as we get ready for Boulevardia!!!

Tonight's show focuses on Center of the City Fest as we talk to co-founders Thad Nugent and Mike Alexander about the history of the fest and the upcoming shows.  PLUS, hear some more music that we are proud to call local from the Eight One Six and surrounding areas.

Aaaand if you didn't get to see it last year, here's that Sam Billen video Chris was talking about on this episode of the Eight One Sixty (MUPPETS!).
