This is an in depth chat with experienced musician Nevil Kiddier, whose career began with the 70s Pub rockers Glyder and continued with power pop band The Pinkees at the top of the 80s, who were more than happy with the comparisons to The Beatles.
Dalliances with Top Of The Pops, The UK Singles chart and quick success in both those bands shaped Nevil into a professional and reliable musician who cared more about his craft, than developing an ego - which is very refreshing!

Now the bass player in master talented Americana band The Ugly Guys, who took YouTube by storm with their honest, original cover of Adele's 'Rolling In The Deep', landing them an indie album deal, Nevil is reminded, that despite age, trends, and the ever changing music industry, you can still do good work, and entertain, because music really matters to people.

A lovely evening was spent chatting with Keith Airey (younger brother of rock band Rainbow's Don) and his partner Kerry Gallagher (first cousin of Liam & Noel), from their house in the Dordogne, sipping Cremant no less!

Working with Simon Climie, contributing to the intro of George Michael & Aretha Franklin's 'Knew You Were Waiting', to being a main stay in Nik Kershaw's loyal band. From joining Then Jericho, to working in Tom Jones' band.
From being Bob Geldof's first Live Aid roster booking to meeting Miles Davis in NY.
So far Keith is the only musician to guest on this podcast who can say they have played on the Wembley stage at Live Aid!

Ipswich born musician David Titlow, initially a very young punk with a stylophone.
Bled dry by Magnet Records, in a-just-about-legal first record deal with his band Duck You sucker.
A second chance and chart success followed for David and fellow musician Duncan Millar as Blue Mercedes under Wham manager Simon Napier Bell. From recording at George Martin's Air Studios, shooting videos with Brian Duffy (Aladdin Sane) & Peter Christopherson (Throbbing Gristle) to having one of their songs covered by the sons of The Osmonds!
After a name change to Nixon, fooling the music press into good reviews and doing a remix for Blur, the 80s tale ends pretty much there.
