July 07, 2017 DJ Fred Kelly (UK) - Decade Party (SF) 12-31-89 - Tape 3
This was a New Years party that Rod Roderick threw in San Francisco. I found the radio commercial for this party in the Rod Roderick reel-to-reel tape archives. I had posted it a few months back on the eightiesDJarchives, and then searched Rod's collection to see if I could find the recordings for this party. I didn't have any luck. I was contacted by Richard Guile. He said that he thought that he had the tapes in his collection, and would look for them. He was able to find them, and recently brought them to me to digitize and remaster. Thanks Richard and Chris! There are 4 tapes/parts for this recording. This is part 2. I was hoping to piece all 4 tapes back together to make a full, non-stop 6 hour DJ mix, but it looks like the DJ didn't swap the tapes fast enough, so I'm going to have to serve all 4 tapes up individually. DJ Fred Kelly was a DJ at Bromptons, and Heaven nightclub, in London.
