Isildur's Bane fué una de las bandas más importantes en la década del 90. Sus discos me encantaban, y me siguen gustando, sobretodo los de la serie "Mind". Rock progresivo, con influencias tanto del jazz como de la música clásica, momentos cercanos a Zappa, combinando a la perfección complejidad y accesibilidad.

Sus primeras composiciones se ven reflejadas en el album "Sagan om den irlandska algen" (recién lanzado en CD en 1992) que une al disco del mismo nombre (1982) y al "Sagan om ringen" (1981-1986). Desde allí comenzaron su derrotero donde fueron cambiando bastante de forma pero no de escencia.
