Alvaro Pulido, Sheriff, and Marine Veteran. He initially took on the marines as a method of helping pay for his education, completing basic training in September 2001. Little Did he know that shortly after finishing training, he would get a call that would change his life. The events of September 11th, 2001 definitely helped shape America, but no one talks about the journey many embark prior to leaving to war, especially Latinos.
