Mike Schommer [Detroit] is acknowledged and highly regarded as one of the key producers behind the development of Dub Techno of the last 25 years, mostly notably for his partnership with Rod Modell as Deepchord until 2002. The DC series remains essential and prized artefacts for dub techno followers and record collectors.

Mike returned after a break to focus on solo projects but also collaborates with other techno luminaries such as Steve O’Sullivan and recently foreged a mellifluous partnership with vocalist Milly James.

Ahead of his European tour in Berlin (Tresor) and debut live show in the UK, Manchester (Dub Explorations), this Verdant Session attempts to present the sounds and styles of Mike’s music.
