Had a chance to talk with Dominick Briganti, a good friend and great technical rescuer. Dom has been in the fire service for 25 years and has been involved in technical rescue for many of those. Currently he is working with a fire department in Southwest Florida, and is the training coordinator for his county’s tech rescue team. We have been fortunate to know Dom for awhile and try to link up and instruct with him every chance we get. We discuss some evolutionary aspects concerning fire service rescue, 9/11, developing rescue skill sets into a true tradecraft.
