What do you do when trials come your way? In week one of our new series on the book of James, Joey McLaughlin dives into chapter one and the stranger we encounter named Joy.

That which intendeds to harm takes the shape of that which is meant to protect. You know in Christianity the opposite is true. That which shows up as difficulty takes the shape of destiny when it knocks on the door of Christianity. James talks about faith in real life. Faith that doesn’t just work in here but faith that works out there in the real world, full of real problems and real challenges and real temptations and real conflict and real tragedy and real difficult decisions and real opposition and real difficult people.

If you don't quit playing games with un-forgiveness, un-forgiveness is gonna play you. DON'T GET PLAYED. This is a message for anyone and everyone. Whether you think you need to extend forgiveness or not, we all need this. Forgiveness is not passive, it is active. It's something that we as the church need to pursue.
