Hello ladies, gents, and non-binary folx! On the final episode of 2021, I got to sit down with Founder of Elevated Canada and Co-Founder of BlacksInPower Taijah Cox-Armstrong. Elevated Canada is a non-profit that aims to end homelessness and BlacksInPower is a space to empower black people while educating people about the Black community. We discussed what motivated her to start Elevated Canada, the work she did in summer 2020 in the height of Black Lives Matter, the problematic practice of streaming in high schools in Ontario, and how she is using her voice to champion change in her community.
