  • Episode 3: Multiple Narratives in Tension with Peace Catalyst Intl.
This episode touches on the conflict between Palestinians and Israelis. The October 7, 2023 Gaza attack by Hamas and the war that followed brought age-old conflicts to the center of the world stage. Becca Tyvoll of Peace Catalyst shares some ways people are working towards peace between the two communities while inviting us to hold complex narratives in tension. She also shares her personal journey in the work, approaches to bridging divides, how her faith informs her work, and suggests ways others can join in building bridges.
[Elevating Good recognizes that this is a complex topic that one podcast can't do justice. The views expressed here are only a starting point.]

  • Episode 1: Unlikely Alliances with NoVA RAFT - Part 1
In August 2021, Kabul, Afghanistan fell to the Taliban. The American military made a quick and chaotic exit and thousands of Afghans who supported them were also forced to leave with little preparation. Around 80,000 arrived in the U.S. between 2021 and 2022. Resettlement agencies in Northern Virginia were overwhelmed. In part 1 of my interview with Dan Altman and Natalie Perdue, they talk about how they started a diverse grassroots network called NoVA RAFT to help the incoming refugees.
