As we come to the end of the body of the Sermon on the Mount, Jesus speaks strong words of frank warning to be sober and cautious about who you allow to ­­­­influence and shape your vision for life and understanding of what is true, good, and real.

There is a striking phrase in the last line of the body of the Sermon on the Mount that gets to the essence of our purpose for existence. “I never knew you…depart from me…” Matthew 7:23

Nearing the end of His Visionary Manifesto for Life, Jesus prepares us for sober action with the truth that there are two paths you can take in life: The Easy way, that leads to destruction. The Hard way, that leads to LIFE. Which will you choose, each day?

A team of 9 courageous ones has spent almost a year on a discipleship journey of mission, culminating in serving at the Breath of Heaven Children’s Village in Lusaka, Zambia. Coming toward the conclusion of his visionary manifesto, Jesus calls the listeners to a revolutionary ethic that mirrors his own sacrificial love in service of others.

God’s Word has great news that we were not made for a life of apathy or complacency but rather a life of consistent burning for Him.

Jesus calls us to actively seek God and ask Him for good things because God is astonishingly good and wants to give us only good things.
