A Handy, Practical Help
Though my NFO and I are already going through deployments while being âtogether," itâll be a whole ânother matter when marriage is in the mix, and so I'm doing all the preemptive research I can.
The book stresses things like open communication, honesty, refraining from stressing about little things, maintaining realistic expectations, setting a budget and sticking to it, etc. Iâm going to keep this book handy and refer to it often, Iâm sure. I do recommend it to Christian couples with a grain of salt, remembering things are inevitably different for believers, and there are going to be exceptions to the worldâs standards for what qualifies as a âmistake.â But for a handy reference guide to practical matters, it's a great read.
Something to note: I did purchase the Kindle version, and it was poorly edited with blatant typos that were sometimes distracting.
I could have gotten theses off a web site. ...
I could have gotten theses off a web site. And most of it was common sense. Not worth the time or money.
Very knowledgeable
At first when I bought this book I thought, "why am I getting this,my husband's almost home." After I was done reading I was able to shut myself up! Bianca has some great advice that was pretty self explanatory, but I had to read to really get it through my thick skull.
