Our mission is not only to run well and there it ends; but to pass on the baton to the next generation. A dynamic occurs when women who are younger, with energy and strength, unite with those older, with experience and wisdom. It is then that the results can be far reaching.
Julia Derbyshire has served alongside her husband, Steve at City Gates for 23 years where she has established an inspirational women’s ministry that oversees different expressions. Some of her favourite things are Pilates and living in London.
There are people in all of our lives whose influence has helped shape who we are today and who we will become in the future. They have passed on a baton with which we run to continue a great legacy. It’s our time to carry the baton and create our own legacy that future generations will embrace. We should count it a privilege and also a responsibility to create a life that others will be inspired by and when they pick up the baton we should aim to become their greatest cheerleader.
