The real tragedy of Eden was not the fruit—it was the fractured connection between humanity and God. In this sermon, we unpack the theme Reset, Refresh & Flourish, exploring how broken relationships with God continue to shape our world today.

Using Genesis 3, Genesis 4:7, and Psalm 51, this message looks at deception, distorted truth, personal responsibility, and the ways brokenness can become “normal.” It also presents a hopeful model for restoration, showing how honesty, repentance, and new spiritual rhythms can lead to genuine renewal. Ultimately, this podcast reminds us that God is a restorer, not a destroyer—and that flourishing begins with reconnecting to Him.

Jesus presents himself as the sole way to eternal life, which is a life lived in relationship with God. This directly addresses the human fear of death and the search for a lasting purpose.

In a culture that seeks to avoid or deny death, Jesus offers a profound and eternal hope beyond it.

Mark uses the story of a rich young man who comes to ask Jesus a direct question to teach about eternal life. This concept is developed throughout Jesus ministry and in the session we want to develop the radical discipleship Jesus calls his followers into and how the reward of that following is eternal life. 

We'll explore eternal life as a quality of life that doesn't start after death, but starts now and a quality of life solely dependent on Jesus.

We'll also explore how eternal life reflects what we do. Even though good work is not the prerequisite for having eternal life. 

In the modern church, we often face two extremes regarding the spiritual world:

Denial: Believing that demons are a superstitious relic and no longer relevant to Christian teaching.

Exaggeration: Seeing demonic influence in everything, leading to excessive fear and powerlessness.

Both extremes lead to the same result: we miss the essential truth of the Gospel. It is often said that Satan tries to either convince people he does not exist or he exaggerates his power so people live in fear. So, what was Jesus’ approach?

In Mark’s Gospel, Jesus never debates the reality of evil; he simply dealt with it and set people free. He brought balance by demonstrating absolute, immediate authority over the forces of darkness.

In this session, we will turn to Mark to see the full range of activities attributed to evil spirits and, more importantly, witness the decisive way Jesus interacts with them. Our goal is to dispel the paralyzing lies of fear and instill a confident faith in Jesus's overcoming power.

We want our church to reflect Jesus, where the authority of Christ is proclaimed, and demons are expelled so that people can live life to the full—free, whole, and empowered.

We often think of faith as a quiet agreement with doctrine, but when Jesus moves in Mark’s Gospel, faith is loud, messy, and urgent. It’s the difference between knowing about Jesus and risking everything on Him.

In this session, we won't be looking at passive belief; we’ll be challenging ourselves to embrace the audacious faith displayed by those on the fringes—the desperate, the rejected, and the broken—who simply pushed through the crowds to reach Jesus.

As part of this session we want to move beyond intellectual belief to a place of active, immediate trust in Christ’s power, recognizing that true faith is always followed by radical transformation. We will study a key encounter that Mark reveals about Jesus’ power and challenge ourselves to go on a similar journey.

What does it truly mean to be a follower of Jesus today?
The church is beautiful, yet complex. Jesus prayed that his disciples would be one, but the sad truth is that today, the church has fractured into many different denominations and traditions, which can leave the average person feeling confused or frustrated.

This problem raises a serious question: How do we know we are following Jesus, and not just the dictates of our specific church, tradition, or denomination?

To find the answer, we must strip away the centuries of tradition and return to the source: the urgent, uncompromising demands of Jesus himself in the Gospel of Mark. Mark’s account pulls no punches and cuts straight to the action.

In this session, we will explore what Jesus demands of his followers: We’ll  explore:
The Immediate turn around: The Call to Repentance and Belief
The Radical Priority: Leave Everything and Follow Him
The Central Command: The Daily Denial  and The Cross
The Leadership Dynamics: Serving to become a leader

We hope this exploration challenges our comfort zones, refocuses our core attitudes toward Jesus, and inspires a deeper, more committed relationship with him that transcends church tradition or culture.

Stop trying to be superhuman! In church life, especially for those in ministry, we often feel the intense pressure to be an endless source of joy, energy, and unwavering faith, immune to pain and exhaustion. We strive for a spiritual perfection that is ultimately unhealthy and unsustainable. But what if the key to resilient and powerful ministry isn't being superhuman, but embracing your humanity?

The Gospel of Mark paints a compelling, gritty, and deeply honest portrait of Jesus that shatters the image of the typical, flawless hero. Mark’s Jesus gets tired, frustrated, amazed, and grieves deeply. This is the Jesus we need! He shows us that our capacity to serve God is rooted not in our manufactured perfection, but in the divine power that works through genuine human limitation.

So if Jesus got angry at injustice and unbelief, how does that affirm your own human emotions. If Jesus got exhausted from the demands of life and ministry and took time to rest. What does that say about holidays, resting and setting boundaries? If Jesus was never a lone-ranger and he did life with a messy group of disciples, how does that impact the people God has placed around you to do life with? If Jesus was truly human and he understands your deepest struggles, how should that impact the way you engage with him? Life can become draining especially when we are operating from a place of striving instead of strength. Everyday we face storms, burnouts, resistance from ourselves, family, friends etc along with work chaos and spiritual warfare. Mark in his gospel doesn’t present a gentle Jesus, meek and mild. He presents Jesus as a commander whose words immediately change reality. Join us as we delve into lessons we can learn as Jesus unleashes his unstoppable authority.

Finding Purpose in a World of Chaos

This month we’re looking at Jesus the prophet, priest, and king. In the OT these roles were distinct from each other, with no overlap. That is, a king was not a priest or a prophet. 

But Jesus Christ perfectly fills all three roles simultaneously: He is the Prophet, Priest, and King. Today we look at his role as a king.

Finding Forgiveness in a World of Guilt

If you could go back in time, what one wrong decision would you undo to avoid the heavy burden of guilt and the struggle for forgiveness?

In this session of our series, "Jesus: Prophet | PRIEST | King" we'll explore Jesus' role as the perfect mediator between God and humanity. We'll discover the power of His once-for-all solution for our guilt and shame.

We'll start by exploring the Old Testament priesthood and its sacrificial system. We'll uncover the limitations of that system and understand why it had to be repeated over and over, year after year. Then, we'll turn our attention to Jesus—our perfect priest. We’ll examine the quality and magnitude of His single, perfect sacrifice. We'll also see how Jesus is able to sympathize with our weaknesses and why He continues to intercede for us as our High Priest today.

By the end of this session, our hope is for a deeper love for Jesus and a clearer understanding that the gap between God and humanity has been fully bridged. You can truly live in the freedom of complete forgiveness.

In this session of our series, "The Three Jobs of Jesus," we'll explore Jesus's role as our ultimate Prophet. The prophets of old took us beyond the limits of human thinking, giving us a glimpse into God’s heart and His desires for us. Jesus, as the final and perfect Prophet, does this and so much more!

We'll start by looking at the roles of the Old Testament prophets and see how Jesus fulfills and surpasses them all. Does He really fit the description of the prophet Moses spoke about? We'll examine His life, His words, and their profound impact. Most importantly, we'll ask a crucial question: Do the words of Jesus still hold weight for our lives today and for the communities we live in?

By the end of this session, our goal is to have a deeper appreciation for Jesus as God's Prophet. We want to create clear, practical ways for you to engage with His prophetic ministry in your daily life. Let's find some clarity in the noise together.
