Elisa Jane Carmichael is a rising star: she's a finalist at this year's Telstra National Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander Art Awards and six of her woven works have recently been acquired by the British Museum.

And her work is helping to revive the art of Quandamooka weaving, which was banned under colonisation.
