Next week the Elk Grove City Council will formally approve their pursuit of relocating the Sacramento zoo.

During their March 23 meeting, they will approve a memorandum of understanding, proudly announce the zoo is coming and of course, pat themselves on the back.

But there is a lot of work left, especially as it relates to construction costs before the zoo opens.

As part of the March 10 zoo feasibility town hall meeting on Elk Grove's proposed zoo, city manager Jason Berhmann gave the following financing strategy presentation.

One of this week’s interesting stories involved the Sacramento City Council which comes one year after an important event in Elk Grove.

This week saw the appointment of a new police chief in Elk Grove. It was announced in a press release from Elk Grove City Manager Jason Behrmann that was missing an element.
