There are people that you meet in life that have a light around them and bring so much illumination to others.

One of those people is Ellen Schwartz. On this episode of Finding Your Bliss, we talk to Ellen about her beloved son Jacob Schwartz, who was born with a rare neurodegenerative disease called Canavan disease. The world learned from

Jacob Schwartz, who was full of love and of goodness about how to be a better person, and how to live life with positivity and love. This show is dedicated to his memory. Ellen has written two books, Lessons from Jacob: A Disabled Son Teaches his Mother about Courage, Hope and the Joy of Living Life to the Fullest and Without One Word Spoken: 18 Life Lessons from Jacob. Ellen is also the Co-founder of Jacob's Ladder and the Founder of Project Give Back. She was honoured with A Woman of Action award by Israel Cancer Research Fund. She was awarded a Queens Jubilee medal and in 2016 she was presented with the Meritorious Service Decoration by the Governor General of Canada.
