χαίρετε, ὦ ἀκροαταί! Welcome to the first episode of our podcast in which we aim to practice speaking Ancient Greek. In this first episode we introduce ourselves and talk about what we hope to do with the podcast. To learn a language well we need a lot of listening input something which is lacking for Ancient Greek, so we hope that our efforts will be useful to others like ourselves who want to acquire a deeper understanding of the language. We aim to start with some simple dialogues and gradually work up to reading and paraphrasing original texts, so if you are just starting with Ancient Greek there is no better time to get listening!
