Being a creative person is such an amazing blessing and can be so incredibly satisfying and rewarding however it does get tough sometimes. Following our passion can often be very challenging and overwhelming. 

If you are struggling on your journey it is totally OK and very normal. It is very common to burnout and feel depleted, uninspired and unmotivated. 

The good news is there are things we can do to grow stronger, to rise above, to become refreshed, re-energised and inspired again!

In this episode I talk about different ways we can refresh ourselves, how to be strategic with our energy and effective with our time, how to recharge and fill up our cup again with a solid foundation to avoid burnout in the future.

I talk about  some of the ways we can nurture our creativity to keep the fire of passion burning brightly so we can create our most amazing art - and enjoy our lives doing so.

I talk about how to leave failure behind you, how to move on with new energy and to begin to soak in all the fresh, beautiful inspiration and potential that is still out there waiting for you. 

I share tips on how to trust in your own strength and resilience, to have more belief in yourself and allow for those voices of possibility, curiosity, passion and excitement to start to come through again.

Having the courage to move beyond our failure is not an easy thing to do. It does takes time and you do have to be brave. BUT you CAN DO IT!

You will survive and you will be so much more amazing than you already are because of your failures, because of the challenges you’ve been through.

Get really clear on what success means to you. It can look however you want it to. Don’t strive for surface level success - the success you think you have or society tells us we should have. Strive for the success that feels right to you at your core. That gives you inner satisfaction and inner peace, that excites and uplifts you, that brings joy to your life.

You don’t have to be the same as all the other artists online. In fact I really encourage you NOT TO BE! We are all so unique and amazing in our own ways. The way that works for one person is not right for the next person. It is our diversity and our differences that make life incredible and beautiful.

So really take a moment to stop and have a good think about what you value in life. What is important to you? Who is important to you? What kind of lifestyle do you want to live? What does your ideal life look like? What does your ideal day look like?

There are so many ways to be an amazing artist, to be fulfilled in your craft and satisfied in your life. Once you define what your version of success looks like you can be relaxed and satisfied knowing that you are on the right path for you. You can stay focused on your own unique path, on achieving your own unique goals while striving for your own version of success.

Don’t compare your journey and success to anyone else. You have your own amazing life to live, your own amazing art to create and it’s up to you to do it in your own special way.

Be brave and push yourself out of your comfort zone. Get as comfortable with being as uncomfortable as you can.

Keep trying new things that may be just a little out of your skill level. Do the things that push you to jump to the next level.

Remove any fear you may have about what you’re capable of and what is possible. Instead come from a place of self belief. A place where you DO believe you are  capable. Where anything is possible! 

Then be brave and take action steps towards the things that will help you to achieve your goals. Even if you’re afraid. That is totally OK but never let your fear or insecurities hold you back.  BE COURAGEOUS!!

After you stretch yourself you grow and you discover you’re capable of so much more than you could ever imagine.

Sometimes those moments where we really put ourselves on the edge of our comfort zone can turn out to be some of the very best and most memorable times in our lives.

REMEMBER - You are more capable than you think. You are braver than you think. You’ve got this. Believe in yourself and be proud of yourself.

As artists we are often forced out of our comfort zone - forced to keep adapting, keep learning, keep growing.

In the beginning it can be very overwhelming but as time goes on you’ll start to build a wealth of experience and skills to draw from whenever you need them.

Things that used to be confusing or difficult or will start to become so much easier.

BELIEVE IN YOURSELF! Trust the process. Keep working towards your dreams. Have faith in yourself and your abilities and keep making your amazing art!

Being a super successful, amazing, talented artist takes time.

If you want to delve as deeply into your creativity as you can to see what you’re really capable of. If you want to discover who you are as an artist and create really high quality work that you’re proud of - it takes a lot of time and a lot of work. 

It is SO important to remember to enjoy the journey and take moments to stop and be proud, to appreciate EXACTLY WHERE YOU ARE RIGHT NOW. With all it’s beauty, with all it’s magic AND with all it’s pain and all it’s challenges. 

Remember to look at the big picture. Being a creative person is such a blessing. The opportunity to really delve into your passion and create art that makes your soul happy is one of the most satisfying and rewarding things. So NEVER EVER take your amazing creativity for granted.

Let go of the excuses that are holding you back from creating your amazing art. There will never be the perfect time to start. If you wait until you’re ready you will be waiting FOREVER.

Just start. Start small. Start where you are, start with what you have in whatever way you can. JUST BEGIN.

Don’t compare your journey to anyone else. Simply TAKE THE NEXT STEP THAT IS RIGHT FOR YOU. Do it the very best you can in a way that feels good and feels right for you.

BELIEVE IN YOURSELF. Trust that you can rise to whatever challenges might appear along the way. iI you keep showing up and taking steps toward your goals, then over time all your consistent work WILL Pay off and you will look back and amaze yourself at the things you’ll be able to accomplish that you had no idea about from taking that very first step.
