Move over daddy issues- because it is time to talk about Mommy Issues! Mommy issues just does not get enough attention. I have the absolute most loving and sacrificial mother but our relationship definitely has its pain points. The generational and cultural gap, misaligned expectations, unwillingness to accept and respect adulthood, and the struggles between a mother and child. I hope this is relatable content that will help spark helpful conversation, create helpful boundaries, and lead towards a healthier relationship 😊

Why do we give so many fuc**s? We concern so much about what other people think, what society tells us to do, and live our lives following a suffocating model of what it is "supposed" to look like. It is so hard to let go and be true to yourself but it all starts with awareness. Awareness that you cannot please everyone without the expense of losing your sense of self. Hello! In light of everything going on in our world, I want to honor the lives lost and pray for peace for their families. I am thankful that people are using their platforms and using their voices to support one another. I wanted to do a more personal episode this week where I share about my personal experience growing up. The feeling of not fitting in either cultures- but a unique, distinctive mix.
