Good just like the first
This book which is the second in the trilogy was just as good as the first. I got through this book in only a couple of days. Now I'm just waiting for the third book to come out.
Continuing the great work
If you liked 'No Heaven', then you'll love 'No Hell'. Keeps the story very interesting and fast paced. Can wait for 'No Religion'. Great work, Lex.
Loads of Payoff and Payback - A Very Satisfying Read
This installment in the trilogy wraps up a lot of threads from the previous "No Heaven" quickly and efficiently. And, while it describes a stupefyingly complex conspiracy, it's written in such a way that it all makes perfect sense - so much sense, in fact, that the reader wonders if, maybe, this could really happen.
The action in this volume really picks up, as well. If there was one complaint I could dig up regarding the "No Heaven" installment, it was that there was a lot of explanation and set up. This book takes all of that and pays off in grand fashion. The twists and turns, and the thrills, ratchet up at a steady pace, pushing faster and faster all the way to the end that culminates in a huge event that may mean the end, or may mean things are only just beginning. No matter which, the ending of this volume was extremely satisfying. Answering plenty of questions and posing quite a few more. Most of all, leaving me feeling excited and eager to get my hands on the next volume.
If you're looking for well-developed characters, an intellectually stimulating story-line and plenty of twists, turns and action, I highly recommend this book and its predecessor. Kudos to the author!
Fast-paced and easy-reading science-fiction/fantasy novel
The first book in Lex Allen's "Eloah" series ("Eloah: No Heaven") ends with a major character telling another that they are going on a treasure hunt. And what a treasure hunt it is! Along the way, clues are unraveled, history is reviewed, and new villains slouch into the light from their shadowy haunts as they position themselves for confrontation. On the journey we meet Neo Druids, a stupendously powerful opposing force at Stonehenge, and attend a meeting of a group much like the fabled (or are they?) Illuminati, but even more manipulative and significantly crueler.
This penultimate volume answers many questions the reader will have been left with after the conclusion of the first book.
