To be called the King or Queen of something, you’ve got to have the public buy-in for it to stick. The King of Pop, Michael Jackson, or Lebron “King” James, and don’t forget the Sausage King of Chicago, Abe Froman. But for many, if you just reference “The King”, Elvis Presley, will come to mind. Elvis was a larger-than-life celebrity in his prime and more has been documented about him than most US Presidents. His southern twang and soulful sounds sold millions of albums and those swangin’ hips caused plenty of controversy along the way. But was it just his gyrations that had everyone up in arms? Elvis seemed to be a good guy, but is there more to those karate kicks and quaaludes? We’ll dive into this and a whole lot more in this rockin’ episode of AHC Podcast.
