    We are back again this week for the finale of the story of Sir Ernest Shackleton and the whole crew of the Endurance!! From the harrowing journey to Elephant Island, then all the way back to South Georgia Island, and then returning to rescue the remainder of the crew! Most of the men survived around 2 years stranded in the Antarctic, and were welcomed back to civilization having lived through the unendurable. Surviving hurricanes in Antarctica, making gains.

One of our favorite stories of survival, and longest, of this entire crew of men became stuck in the deadly ice floes of Antartic Ocean/Weddell Sea so close as they try to reach Antartica. They were marooned on ice for 18 months and even watched their ship get crushed.

          This week we talk about the insane story of Michael Benson and Chris Duddy and Craig Hosking, who all survived a helicopter crash into the Pu'u O'o Volcanic crater on the Big Island, Hawai'i! Hosking was rescued right away, Duddy survived almost 2 days inside and managed to climb all the way out, and Benson survived nearly 3 days and 2 nights inside and was rescued in the morning of the third day! All three men have been inside a semi-active volcanic crater and lived to tell the tale!

            Time Jump! Kelsey and Jenna talk about the Robertson Family this week, the daring and adventurous family who spent over a year sailing the world, before their ship was sunk by a pod of orcas in the Pacific Ocean. The whole family survived the ship sinking, and for the following 38 days in their small raft out in the open sea, until they were rescued in 1972. The whole family survived being stranded at sea and they stuck together, inspiring us all!

This week, we talk about another incredible survival story on Mt Everest of Lincoln Hall, who lived to tell the tale about how he lived through the night in the Death Zone, around 8,700 m (28,543 ft), on Mt Everest. On May 25th, 2006, Hall was presumed dead, but was found next morning by summiters without his face and body protection, without food or water, and without his oxygen. SURPRISE!!
