Ember Church Sunday Sermon

What is wisdom? Where is it to be found? Why does there seem to be so little of it, and so much of about everything else? Watch her and discover God plan for every stage of life…especially a critical missing piece from everywhere from culture to most families, business to most churches.

Have you ever told a "little white lie" to try to fit in? Have you ever wanted to be a part of something awesome, but didn't want to be "all-in"? We're looking at what the problem is with pursuing cool, and watch what God does in response.

Do you wish you could know things about God and what was going to happen with certainty, like Jesus did? Does the whole idea of actually and accurately hearing God seem like something that is difficult for you? Watch here and just how deeply God wants us know what He is saying, and how we can make that very hard to hear if we fail to embrace the God given rhythms of our lives. This is a good one.

Do you want a “pure heart?” Can we ever truly have a pure heart? But what about all that other stuff that I’ve done…? Watch here and see that we can truly have a pure heart, we just need to know what God means by that. This one will touch your heart.

Why are we so busy? How do we slow down?

Is there a re-tooling we need to do? How do we know when to do it? Some simple ways to learn HOW to rest

Struggling with sin? Think you’re separated from Him because of what you do…or don’t do? Watch here and see how utterly different God is than who we think He is, especially if we’ve known Him for some time. This one is a game changer.

When you get baptized what happens? Is it merely a symbol of being saved, born again, washed clean? Or is there something much more powerful going on? Watch here and see the deeper things that God intends to communicate in baptism: from becoming new in our culture, to the powerful proclamations that make a real difference, there is so much going on here. This is our annual Church at the Beach Service, so wear a Hawaiian shirt when you watch it. :-)

Do you have a good dad? A bad dad? No dad? More than one dad? Our Father who art in Heaven is the perfect Dad… Watch here to see what His heart is for His children. Turns out it is almost exactly the opposite of what we normally think when we think of being the children of our earthly fathers. This is a truth that will lead to a truly new perspective about our dads, whether good, bad, or missing, it may even lead to some deep healing.

The Life We Were Created For

What is the absolute coolest thing in all the Bible? Most people would say Jesus, and it’s hard to argue against that. But do know that the last thing God wrote to us in the Scriptures, the thing He wanted to leave ringing in our ears and hearts, is definitely mind blowingly cool. Watch here and come to know how amazingly incredible God really is, by the astounding thing that He has waiting for us!!!
