Hr: U malom planinskom selu, dok se lagani dim vijorio iz dimnjaka, stajala je drvena kućica na rubu Plitvičkih jezera.
En: In a small mountain village, as light smoke curled up from the chimneys, a wooden cottage stood on the edge of the Plitvička jezera.

Hr: Unutra je Ivana zabrinuto gledala kroz prozor zamagljen od hladnoće.
En: Inside, Ivana anxiously watched through a window fogged by the cold.

Hr: Snijeg je padao gusto i zvijezde na nebu su se jedva vidjele.
En: Snow was falling thickly and the stars in the sky were barely visible.

Hr: Bližio se školski izlet na snježne staze, ali prognoze nisu bile obećavajuće.
En: The school trip to the snowy trails was approaching, but the forecasts were not promising.

Hr: "Ivana, chill!
En: "Ivana, chill!"

Hr: " nasmijao se Marko s druge strane sobe, dok je slagao skije u kutu.

Hr: Ovako, ionako je škola najzabavnija kad smisliš nešto neplanirano.
En: Anyway, school is most fun when you come up with something unplanned."

Hr: "Njegov smijeh je bio zarazan.
En: His laughter was contagious.

Hr: Ivana je sklonila naočale i obrisala stakla.
En: Ivana took off her glasses and wiped the lenses.

Hr: Umjesto straha, osjetila je uzbuđenje.
En: Instead of fear, she felt excitement.

Hr: "Dobro, hajde da napravimo unutarnju avanturu.
En: "Alright, let's create an indoor adventure."

Hr: "Dok je noćna oluja pokrivala Plitvice bijelim velom, Ivana i Marko su upalili fenjer i započeli traženje u kućici - igrali su stare društvene igre, pripovijedali priče uz vatru i kuhali večeru sa smijehom i pjesmom.
