About the Guests
Rabbi Malka Drucker has written 22 books, including the Southwest PEN award winner, White Fire: A Portrait of Women Spiritual Leaders in America, Christopher Award winner Rescuers: Portraits of Moral Courage in the Holocaust, and New Mexico Book Prize in Children’s Literature, Portraits of Jewish American Heroes. She is also the author of The Family Treasury of Jewish Holidays, Jacob’s Rescue, Frida Kahlo, and other books for young people. Ordained at the Academy for Jewish Religion, Rabbi Drucker, the founding spiritual leader of HaMakom: The Place for Passionate and Progressive Judaism, in Santa Fe, New Mexico.  In 2016, she became the rabbi of Temple Har Shalom in Idyllwild, California. Rabbi Nadya Gross’ close relationship with her teacher, Rabbi Zalman Schachter-Shalomi, author of the seminal book, From Age-ing to Sage-ing: A Profound New Vision of Growing Older, inspired her to begin the Sage-ing work in her forties. She serves as co-Director and senior faculty of the Sage-ing® Legacy Program which offers workshops in the elements of the Sage-ing® work and includes a training program for Sage-ing Mentors. In other Sage-ing® related work, Nadya has trained End-Of-Life Doulas, and serves on the faculty of the Anamcara Project of the Sacred Art of Living, Center for Spiritual Formation, a program which trains caregivers in the “art, science and practice of sacred relationship” through all stages of living and dying, drawing from many wisdom traditions. Nadya is the Director of the ALEPH Hashpa’ah: Training Program for Jewish Spiritual Directors. She and her husband, Rabbi Victor Gross, share a pulpit at Pardes Levavot: Jewish Renewal Congregation in Boulder, CO, and recently founded Yerusha, an organization dedicated to furthering the legacy of Rabbi Zalman Schachter-Shalomi.
