E.M.C. atmospheres #130 - F-on

Based in Madrid, Alfonso Pomeda has built a strong reputation over the years, becoming a key reference within the techno and experimental scene. Best known for his work as a DJ, specializing in demanding and experimental music, positioned at the crossroads of slow-tempo dub, experimental music, and repetitive techno, Alfonso curates the festivals @mostrabcn in Barcelona, Sonikas in Vallecas, and @chaosambiants in France. Alongside all of this, he is co-director of @espacio-perpendicular, one of the key umbrella projects within Madrid’s underground music scene. Moreover, F-on performs regularly at leading clubs and festivals around the world, most recently at @parallelfestival Festival, as well as at @vurtkr and @gare-porto.

"This is the set I performed at Temple, the listening sessions held at Espacio Perpendicular. My set took place during the first moments of the night, and my intention was to create an uncomfortable and visceral atmosphere with varying levels of intensity and extreme contrasts. During the two-hour set, I weaved together three distinct layers of sound to create a new track using field recordings, computed music, drones and other sounds from electroacustic music.
