Steven is a Google Certified Innovator, TED Talk Educator, Microsoft Innovative Educator, National Geographic Educator and Apple Teacher.  Steven lives and works in Indonesia, a country with huge digital divides between geographic regions, schools and teachers. Steve shares his experiences and wisdom regarding the successful strategies to build educator professional development: 1. Use SMART goals 2. Focus on Google Workspace as many tools work together & are free for education 3. Use social media to build connection & communities of interest, particularly in this very challenging time of continued lockdowns and isolation - use these communities for sharing best practice - have regular tutorials and teachers sharing ideas with teachers 4. The rise of learning analytics is making a difference, especially with online learning in engagement, attendance, participation and achievement monitoring for individual students, classes and inter-class work; Google Forms to Google Sheets to Google Data Studio 5. Gamification increases engagement and it may help fill the GAPs of digital resources, digital skills and digital understanding are gigantic across the country 6. Be flexible, be adaptable, ensuring training, coaching & mentoring  Steven closes the session by saying, “You can go fast, but you will go alone. You can go together, which means going slower.
